How does a Suzuki SV650 do with a passenger?

I really like the standard style of this bike, but I usually ride with my wife on shorter rides (30 to 80 miles usually). Will this bike handle that ok? I’m definitely not a tourer. We only weigh a combined 280 lbs. Any other detail on this bike are welcome too.
